An Audience with Iain de Weymarn
Mr Iain de Weymarn studied economics at Cambridge and Warwick Universities. Iain has worked at Barclays since 2018 and is currently Head of their London Strategy Team. Prior to this he was Treasurer of BUK (the UK high street bank) and as Global Head of Balance Sheet Management for the Group, which involves amongst other things managing the Group’s funding and liquidity. Prior to his role at Barclays, he spent 17 years at the Bank of England, where amongst other things he was Chief of Staff to Governor Carney, Head of Stress Testing, Head of Sterling Markets, Speechwriter to Governor King and worked on the Bank’s Quarterly macroeconomic forecasts.
